I want to create an iPhone application, and I want to dynamically update the app icon similarly to how the calendar icon updates on a user’s homescreen, is that possible?
Additionally, is there any control over presentation in the notifications center. If you look at the current notifications center, at the top is a spread with the weather and it’s pretty well designed out. Everything else below is rather mundane. Just text. Are there any options there?
Unfortunately the answer is no for both items. On both iOS and Android there is no way to make the icon dynamic at this point, and the only thing we can do with notification center is post standard notifications (just text).
While it is possible to create custom notifications in android, you still can’t create dynamic icons.
