Two locations, west of the Rockies, will take charge of mobile & web development projects for west coast clients
November 3, 2010 – Baltimore, MD: Leading interactive mobile & web design & development company, Accella, has announced the opening of two west coast locations, one in Los Angeles, California, the other in Tucson, Arizona. The two locations will primarily focus on the design and development of websites and mobile applications for Accella’s clients in the Mountain and Pacific Time zones.
“This expansion to the west coast will really help with the growing number of California companies that we have been working with,” said John Rainey, Vice President of Business Development at Accella. “One of the greatest obstacles that we had in working with many of the ad agencies and marketing firms in California was the time difference. Being able to get a hold of someone in our office in the afternoon just became a lot easier.”
Steve Demby, Director of Development at Accella is now located in Los Angeles, California, and will handle project management for Accella’s west coast clients. “This is a big step for us in terms of servicing our west coast based clients faster and with more responsiveness. The 6:00 AM start time takes a bit of adjustment as I’m still doing quite a bit of project management for our east coast accounts, however there are many other benefits to being on the west coast.”
Jason King, President at Accella, is looking forward to working with more companies based outside of the Mid-Atlantic region. “We do a lot of work with organizations in our backyard; recently we’ve started to work with more and more companies on the west coast. Being able to have a project manager in California gives us a greater ability to provide our customers with the same level of service and support that our east coast clients receive. Along with Steve in California, we have a new mobile developer in Tucson, Arizona that will be working on mobile applications for the iPhone and Android.”
Steve Demby has been with the company since right after its founding in 2006. Aside from performing project management for west coast clients, he will be increasing Accella’s footprint on the west coast by building up the client base and adding staff, including developers and sales.
Kyle Kvech, who will run the Tucson location, will handled mobile development on various platforms including iPhone, iPad, and Android. Joining Accella in September of this year, Kyle most recently worked at Raytheon Missile Systems as a Senior Software Engineer.
