Coverage Surround the Bicentennial Anniversary of the War of 1812
June 12, 2012 – Baltimore, MD: Leading interactive mobile & web design & development company, Accella, is sponsoring Maryland Public Television’s coverage of Baltimore’s Star Spangled Sailabration festivities. The week-long series of events celebrate the bicentennial anniversary of the War of 1812 as well as the writing of the Star Spangled Banner. Events run from Wednesday June 13th through Tuesday June 19th throughout Fells Point, the Inner Harbor, Fort McHenry, and other locations in and around Baltimore.
Accella’s sponsorship demonstrates their dedication to the community and to the programming that Maryland Public Television provides. “Despite being a virtually run company, we have many employees that live in Maryland and have close ties to the community,” said Jason King, Accella’s President. “We have worked with Maryland Public Television in the past, and constantly look for the right opportunity to partner with them. Baltimore’s Star Spangled Sailabration event is the perfect chance for us to sponsor MPT and showcase our abilities to their audience.”
“Firms such as Accella that sponsor historic programming – notably, MPT’s War of 1812 bicentennial coverage — are making a substantial gift to the wider community. Thanks to our sponsors, we can tell important stories for citizens of all ages and celebrate what’s best in our community,” notes Larry D. Unger, president & CEO of Maryland Public Television.
